According to Mark Smit (2017) on the physical level, humans initially derive their energy from the sun’s energy. Energy flows through the body and is sourced from the food we eat which are energetic electrons. As these electrons power through the body they are harnessed into energy at the cellular level. This energy maintains our consciousness. *5

 Jawer & Micozzi (2009) write that electrical energy exists outside the body as well. The heart produces the strongest electrical and magnetic activity of any organ in the body and it is five thousand times more electromagnetically powerful than the brain.*3

On the finer vibrational level, Donna Eden (2012) states that subtle energies could not be detected by technology until 2007 when William Tiller, a researcher at Stanford University published research about a new device that could measure the subtle energy field. This device demonstrated that measurements are affected by the person’s intention and it was observed that negative thoughts create different qualities to positive thoughts. *1

 Using the power of positive thoughts and focussed intention can unblock and open us up to the flow of positive change in our lives. Donna Eden (2012) summarizes the energies that are harnessed in energy medicine: electrical energies, electromagnetic energies and subtle body energies. Memories, feelings and thoughts are encoded in patterns of tiny electrical impulses. Electromagnetic energies are a wave, moving along a spectrum of radio waves to microwaves, to infrared light, visible light and to X-rays and gamma rays. *2
